InjuryAgent, LLC ("InjuryAgent," "we," "us," or "our") built this app to help you keep your own records after an injury. Your privacy matters — this Policy explains what we collect, why, how it's protected, and the choices you have. It applies to the InjuryAgent website and app (the "Service").
1. Our privacy promises
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share your records with attorneys, insurers, or third parties without an action from you.
- We do not use your content to train generalized AI models.
- You can export or delete your data at any time from Settings.
2. Information we collect
You give us:
- Account info — name, email, password (hashed), and role (injured party, caretaker, family, etc.).
- Case content — journal entries, symptoms, pain levels, expenses, bills, communications, providers, medical notes, photos, audio, and documents you choose to save.
- Sharing info — the caretakers or attorneys you invite and what you choose to share with them.
Collected automatically:
- Device and log data — IP address, browser/OS, timestamps, crash and error reports.
- Usage data — features used and general activity, to keep the Service reliable.
3. How we use it
- Operate the Service — save your records, generate summaries, produce your Attorney-Ready File on demand.
- Keep it secure — detect abuse, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms.
- Support you — respond to your questions and requests.
- Improve the Service — using aggregate, de-identified metrics only.
- Comply with law — respond to lawful legal process and safety obligations.
We do not use your case content for advertising or for training generalized AI models. AI features run on trusted vendors under contract, and prompts are not retained by those vendors for model training.
4. Who we share with
- People you invite — caretakers and attorneys, and only what you choose to share.
- Service providers — hosting, database, storage, and AI processing partners bound by confidentiality and only permitted to act on our behalf.
- Legal and safety — if required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of users or the public.
- Business transfers — if we're acquired or merged, your data may transfer as part of the transaction, subject to this Policy.
5. Where your data lives and how it's protected
Data is stored on cloud infrastructure in the United States. We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, row-level access controls that restrict every record to its owner and the people they've invited, and audit logging on privileged operations. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password and enable any additional protections we offer.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your account and content until you delete them. When you delete a record or your account, we remove it from active systems and it is purged from backups within 30 days. We may retain limited information longer when required by law (for example, tax records) or to resolve disputes.
7. Your choices and rights
- Access & export — download a copy of your data from Settings.
- Correction — edit or update any record you've saved.
- Deletion — delete individual records or your entire account from Settings.
- Consent — you're asked before we save journal, photo, voice, expense, or document content, and you can revoke consent at any time.
- Communications — turn reminders on or off in Settings.
Depending on where you live (for example, California, Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, or Utah), you may have additional rights, including the right to know, correct, delete, and limit certain processing, and the right to appeal a denied request. To exercise any right, email privacy@injuryagent.app. We do not sell personal information and do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. A parent or legal guardian may use the Service to document an injury involving their child; the guardian is the account holder.
9. Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of first-party cookies and local storage entries needed to sign you in and remember your preferences. If we add product analytics, we will use privacy-focused tools and disclose them here.
10. Changes
If we make material changes to this Policy, we'll notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. The "Effective" date at the top always shows the latest version.
